How Integrations Work
Section titled “How Integrations Work”- Navigate to Settings > Integrations in your dashboard
- Select the integration you want to connect
- Authorize VoltPay to access the external service
- Configure sync preferences (frequency, data scope)
The agent can also set up integrations for you:
“Connect my QuickBooks account”
Data Flow
Section titled “Data Flow”- Outbound: VoltPay pushes payment records, invoices, and contractor data to your connected tools
- Inbound: VoltPay pulls relevant data (chart of accounts, team members) to reduce manual entry
- Real-time vs. batch: Slack and webhook integrations are real-time. Accounting syncs run on a configurable schedule (hourly, daily, or on each pay run)
API Access
Section titled “API Access”For custom integrations, VoltPay provides a REST API. See the API Reference for endpoints, authentication, and rate limits.
Security
Section titled “Security”All integrations use OAuth 2.0 for authorization. VoltPay never stores your credentials for connected services — we store only the access tokens, which you can revoke at any time from Settings > Integrations.
